Months after Nelly teased the return of Apple Bottom Jeans, it seems fans are closer than ever to experiencing the brand’s resurgence.
This week, the rapper shared an image of reimagined Apple Bottoms denim with the famed logo on the back pocket.
“Don’t call it a comeback!!!! Wanna see what I’ve been up to… Make sure you sign up for behind the scenes access and our First Big Kick Off,” he captioned the image, also tagging the newly formed Apple Bottoms Instagram profile.
The page only features the same image shared by Nelly. There is also a link to the Apple Bottoms website, where eager customers can sign up for updates. Back in April, Nelly announced that his beloved was coming back, though he has not provided any further details. However, that has not stopped stars of today, such as Latto, from rocking the vintage jeans.
In its glory days, Apple Bottoms were the go-to jeans, with rappers and singers alike shouting out the brand. Nelly showcased the latest looks at BET’s Rock the Runway show and with star-studded campaigns. By the 2010s, Apple Bottoms had begun to dwindle, going all but silent until Nelly decided it was time for a new collection.
Questions about whether the nostalgic company can survive in today’s fast-fashion climate are up for debate. Nevertheless, die-hard Apple Bottoms fans will surely show up for Nelly and the clothing line.
