On Saturday, Nelly was arrested for second-degree rape after a woman claimed he raped her on a tour bus in Washington.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, according to TMZ, new details have emerged about the night of the incident. The woman, who has been identified as a 21-year-old from Seattle, said she met the rapper at a club.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Prior to the incident, she and a few of her friends were drinking at Nelly’s table. Eventually, she got “tipsy” and was then invited to an after-party. According to TMZ, the woman drove off with Nelly’s camp and was taken to the rapper’s tour bus.
While on the bus, in Nelly’s room, she said the rapper tried to have sex with her, to which she declined. She said he then told her to “shut up” and said he wanted to have sex with her without a condom. That is when he forced himself on her, she claimed.
According to TMZ, Nelly then offered her money, but she refused to take it. Then, another woman came on the bus and kicked the woman out, just before throwing $100 at her.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, Nelly’s lawyer has refuted the claims, saying the woman is not credible.
“It does not surprise me that she wanted to have her story publicized. That is playbook 101 of a person with an agenda and clearly she has one. The agenda is money, fame and notoriety” Scott Rosenblum said. “We will be able to show by objective evidence and unbiased witnesses that she has zero credibility,” he said. “She’s a person who is making a dangerous, fraudulent allegation to accomplish her own goals.”
Nelly was released shortly after his arrest, without being charged.
