Nelson Mandela Dies At 95

I wasn’t alive to experience Martin Luther King or Malcolm X but I was alive to witness (and be taught) the greatness that was Nelson Mandela, South Africa’s first black president, Nobel Peace winner and activist.

Mandela’s death was confirmed by current S. African president, Jacob Zuma, today. Mandela had been in ICU for nearly a month, suffering from a lung infection, an illness dating back to his days in jail fighting against inequality (the apartheid regime).

Rest In Peace Mr. Mandela.
