Reports have been circulating regarding Nene Leakes official exit from the ”Real Housewives of Atlanta.” In fact, her talk show gal pal Wendy Williams even seemingly confirmed the news during Tuesday’s episode of her talk show.
“NeNe texts, ‘I’m quitting,'” Williams said, as she went on to spill more tea, claiming the true reason for Leakes departure is due to a massive personal secret that Leaked is harboring.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I know something about NeNe that you all will cry, be sad, feel bad for her. She’s carrying the weight of a huge thing on her shoulders,” Williams revealed.
However, a rep for the 52-year-old original cast member of RHOA spoke with ET, telling them that no decisions have been finalized.
“It’s been an especially difficult couple of weeks for NeNe, and she was venting to her friend in private correspondence. Nothing has been confirmed or officially decided for next season.”
However, in recent months, Leakes also said that she would not be turning her back on RHOA anytime soon.
“So, Housewives is my baby. And I really do wanna see it stay around for 10, 15, 20 years if we can.” She told ET’s Kevin Frazier back in November.
If the departure does happen, this would not be Leakes’ first time walking away from the show. She exited the show in 2015 and returned for season 10 in 2017. But, at this time, Leakes says nothing has been confirmed, ”Private conversations should be left in private! What are girlfriends for if you can’t vent to them on those type of days.”
