Netflix Is Ending Its Password Sharing Pretty Soon

You won’t be able to share passwords with your friends anymore, and Netflix is making sure of that starting in 2023.

According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, the company will start to crack down on password sharing.

“Make no mistake, I don’t think consumers are going to love it right out of the gate,” Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said in December.

Netflix claims to miss out on a lot of money since so many users share their passwords. The company plans to raise $71 million in revenue next year with the new plan, which would force people to pay.

In addition to the crack in password sharing, Netflix is shaking up some things in the workout room.

The streaming platform will drop 30 hours of workout training videos in collaboration with the Nike Training Club. The aerobics classes will be available starting December 30, and the other half will be released early next year.
