According to the Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has greenlit a sequel to the fantasy cop drama, “Bright.”
Despite the mixed reviews, the streaming giant has decided to bring back Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, and director, David Ayer for a follow-up film, just days after the initial film debut.
According to the publication, talks of a sequel surfaced even before the Dec. 22 debut of “Bright,” but Netflix wanted to make sure the $90 million film did well with its audience before securing the deal. However, as the film remains No. 1 on the streaming giant in over 190 countries, Netflix is ready to move forward with a follow-up.
