Netflix is now worth more than Comcast, and soon will be surpassing Disney as well. As of the end of the day on Wednesday, Netflix’s market value was at a cap of $149 billion. Comcast has actually fallen 2% recently, as their value as of Wednesday was $147 billion.
Disney’s market cap was $153 billion, and if Netflix continues to have a year like this, it’s expecting to grow right past the mark that Disney has reached. The companies stock has gone up 70% since January and they have exceeded highly above their expectations for earnings.
Some are suspecting that much of the influence has gained after Netflix announced its out-year deal with the Obama’s to produce multiple pieces of content for the streaming service.
