Netflix is reportedly set to crack down on the sharing of passwords for the streaming service.
According to NME, the company discussed its Q3 2019 earning and announced that it was keeping an eye on password sharing, and looking to crack down on the practice but in a “consumer-friendly way”.
For now, the number of devices that a Netflix account can stream on is limited, but passwords are able to be shared infinitely.
It’s not clear yet how or when the effects of a crackdown might start to appear, but it seems like the streaming service is hell-bent on making some serious changes.
