Netflix has recently confirmed the renewal of the show “Love Is Blind” for its sixth and seventh seasons.
Season 6 of the popular reality dating show is set to take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, and it’s scheduled to be released on Valentine’s Day. Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the show’s co-hosts, expressed their enthusiasm in a teaser clip, playfully hinting that they are getting ready for contestants to once again step into the iconic pods.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, what are you doing?” Nick says in the clip as the camera crew enters the pods. “We’re not ready for you yet. We haven’t even finished installing the pod walls!” Vanessa then adds, “Look, I know you’re excited to find love in the pods but we need a little more time, OK? They have to be ready. Go away, we’ll see ya!”
Season 5 concluded with a dramatic bang and a reunion episode filled with intense moments. Among the most talked-about aspects of the season was the romantic entanglement of Milton Johnson and Lydia Velez Gonzalez. This was particularly due to Lydia’s revelation that she had a prior romantic involvement with another participant, Uche Okoroha, outside of the pods.
Following Lydia’s surprising revelation, the drama escalated when Uche, who had been forming a connection with Lydia’s close friend Aaliyah Cosby on the show, made a shocking return during the cast mixer. He claimed that Lydia had stalked him after their breakup and even followed him onto the series.
In spite of these tumultuous events, Milton and Lydia managed to navigate the challenges and were the sole couple to exchange vows. During the reunion episode in October, they happily disclosed that they were still married and going strong, nearly a year and a half after the season finale had aired.
