With the success of Quarterback and Receiver on Netflix, the streaming service has taken a step further and immersed itself in the NBA space.
Netflix is set to release “Starting 5” on October 9, featuring LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat), Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings), and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics). The series offers a behind-the-scenes look at last season through the eyes of these five NBA superstars, showcasing how they continue to build their legacies during one of the most entertaining NBA seasons in recent history. The project is a collaboration between Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, and LeBron James’s Uninterrupted.
Higher Ground Productions is also working on another basketball series focused on the Olympic men’s basketball team, set to premiere next year.
