As fans anticipate the Season 2 premiere of the popular series ‘You,’ more good news is coming their way as it looks like the show will possibly be renewed for Season 3 as well. ‘You’ is a drama that was developed and executive produced by Greg Berlanti & Sera Gamble, starring Penn Badgley & Elizabeth Lail.
During the most recent California tax credit winners that were revealed this morning, a third season for the Warner Horizon and Berlanti Productions series was awarded a whopping $7.213 million.
While being awarded the tax credit doesn’t 100% guarantee the show will be renewed, it raises the potential as it makes the series financially stable, according to Deadline.
The streaming platform generally waits about a month after generating the total accumulated viewing data in that time before any decisions are made for the renewal of a series.
While fans wait for an official announcement for the renewal of a third season, they can get ready for Season 2 as it premieres on Dec. 26 only on Netflix.
