The Brooklyn Nets are the next on the injury bug going around the NBA. Thursday they announced that point guard Deron Williams will be out indefinitely with a broken rib.
Williams’ recent MRI showed that he fractured his left 12th rib. He had told team doctor Riley Williams III this past weekend he had soreness above his left rib area. Test on Monday came back negative. After the Nets game on Wednesday he informed them of new symptoms that were lower them the ones he first reported.
The Nets, after Williams’ first season on the team, have been 13-23 without him in the lineup and 118-111 with him.
There is no time table for his return. Williams will be re-evaluated in one week. We wish him a speedy recovery.
