A new clam-flavored mayonnaise is flying off the shelves at Target stores across the nation, giving sandwiches everywhere a new spin.
The brand behind this new innovation is Cards Against Humanity, which launched in 2010. Starting with its signature adult card game, the company has pulled off quirky stunts such as accepting donations to dig a hole and selling boxes of bull poop. Now, the playful company expanded into the food industry with its Clam-O-Naise, sold exclusively in Target stores.
Clam-O-Naise is made with real clams and features a “tangy, garlicky” taste like none other. The company says they worked with a team of chefs and food scientists to make the mayo a reality with hints of bacon and white wine also incorporated. Even if clammy bread spread isn’t your thing, fans of Cards Against Humanity are still in for a treat when they purchase a jar of Clam-O-Naise because the company has hidden a pack of 30 new cards concealed deep inside each jar. Customers can win many different prizes, such as real pearls, Clam-O-Naise merch, vacations, and more. Even better, the jars cost only $9.99.
Since its official launch on Tuesday, Target is already nearly sold out of Clam-O-Naise both in store and online. However, Cards Against Humanity is working to have the mayo restocked expeditiously.
