As Usher’s residency comes to an end, the legendary R&B group New Edition has unveiled its upcoming Las Vegas residency.
According to reports, the group comprising Ricky Bell, Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant will kick off their residency on February 28, 2024, and conclude the six-show run on March 9.
“Fulfilling a career-long dream to solidify ourselves with a residency performance in the Entertainment Capital of the world, we are beyond excited to embark on this fantastical journey at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas,” the group said. “On behalf of all of us, including Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny, it is our extreme purpose to give our fans a show that they cannot witness anywhere else in the world.”
Over the recent weekend, New Edition paid a heartfelt tribute to The Spinners at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. During their performance, they delivered renditions of three of the soul group’s timeless hits: “I’ll Be Around,” “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love,” and “The Rubberband Man.” Their presentation also served as a homage to the legendary Soul Train host Don Cornelius, who was among the 2023 inductees, along with Chaka Khan and Missy Elliott. Notably, Missy Elliott made history as the first female rapper to receive this prestigious recognition.
Nevertheless, the presale for New Edition’s Las Vegas residency will commence on Wednesday, November 8, at 10 a.m. and conclude on Thursday, November 9, at 10 p.m. PST. Tickets will be available to the general public starting on Friday, November 10, at 10 am PST.
