New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski took two big L’s this week between his devastating Super Bowl 52 loss and subsequent home robbery.
According to the Boston Globe, Foxborough police officers were called to Gronk’s home Monday night to investigate a break-in, where “multiple safes and possible guns” were taken.
“I don’t know if you ever been the victim of a break-in, but when you are robbed and there is an intrusion into your personal space, it’s unpleasant whether you are Rob Gronkowski or Bill Baker,” Foxborough Police Chief William D. Baker said of the incident. “For him it’s a double whammy coming off the loss.”

Baker declined to provide further details on the incident in an effort to protect the privacy and integrity of the investigation. However, the police chief did confirm that there was no one in the home at the time of the incident, no one was injured and officials are aware of what was lifted from the home.
