Instagram has officially given users the ability to assign people as moderators during live streams.
As each day passes, Instagram continues to come up with new features and new ways to keep Instagrammers engaged. The latest addition is the ability to assign moderators during a live stream. The Verge reports IG users will now be able to turn off comments, report comments and remove viewers while on Live.
“Streamers + Mods = Dynamic Duo. We’re launching Live Moderator on Instagram Live, where creators can assign a mod and give them the power to: Report comments Remove viewers from Live Turn off comments,” Instagram wrote in a tweet.
If a user wants to assign someone as a moderator, they select the three dots in the comment bar during a Live and then choose a moderator from a list of suggested accounts. They can also use the search bar to look for a specific account.
