Dining during a Walt Disney World vacation is supposed to be a magical extra, but that was not the case for one guest. A recently filed lawsuit alleges a guest was injured by biting into glass found hidden in eggs.
The guest, Mary Brumbaugh, claims she was eating breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table in 2019 with a party of 14. The Illinois resident bit into the glass while eating eggs and suffered from a wound and fracturing two crowns.
The suit seeks $50,000 in damages to cover Brumbaugh’s extensive medical bills due to her injury. She believes the restaurant was negligent in serving her glass. She is also claiming emotional damage.Â
Cinderella’s Royal Table is located inside Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom theme park. It is considered a signature dining experience feating Disney princesses.
Disney has not responded to the lawsuit. Lawsuits against the park are not rare. Visited by millions of people annually, guests regularly allege slip and falls, injuries on rides, and other incidents.Â
