New Lawsuit Claims Woman Miscarried Her Child After Being Trampled At Astroworld

Travis Scott faces yet another lawsuit following the Astroworld tragedy, this time from a woman who claims she suffered a miscarriage after being trampled at the show.

Shanazia Williamson and her husband, Jarawd Owens, of Dayton, Ohio, joined thousands of Astroworld attendees at the Houston music festival in November. The couple was expecting a child together, but their dream life came crashing down when the chaos erupted during Scott’s set of the concert. When a suffocating surge of people pushed towards the stage, the couple was caught in the compressing crowd. At some point, Williamson fell and was “crushed” by the masses. She suffered a miscarriage after sustaining injuries to her stomach, chest, back, leg, and shoulder. It remains unclear how far along Williamson was in her pregnancy.

Like the many others against Scott and the concert promoters, the couple’s lawsuit claims there was not enough security to prevent the deadly crowd surge. Ten people lost their lives. The pair also slammed the festival’s organizers for failing to have specialized medical personnel and systems in place to recognize the festival’s risks. In addition to the rapper and LiveNation, The security companies Valle Services SMG, ASM Global, and the Harris County Sports and Convention corporation are also named as defendants in the complaint.

The legal fallout from Astroworld continues to mount. In January, a judge consolidated hundreds of lawsuits against Scott and organizers.
