New Music Friday is filled with good tunes from both R&B and hip-hop’s most adored acts with vibes straight from the mid-2000s and 2010s, starting with Keri Hilson.
The singer and songwriter has made her mainstream return with her album, “We Need To Talk: Love.” Serving as her first album in over a decade, Hilson has revealed that the project will be a trilogy. As for the first nine tracks, Hilson is back with her classic sound that captivated audiences twenty years ago. The lead single, “Bae,” was unveiled ahead of her release date and set the tone for Hilson’s very promising new chapter.
Elsewhere is Wiz Khalifa, who unveiled the highly anticipated “Kush + Orange Juice 2.” The follow-up to his 2010 mixtape has been promised for quite some time, and now Khalifa has made good on his promise, with collaborations from Larry June, Ty Dolla Sign, Luh Tyler, and more over the course of 23 songs.
