New Music Friday lands on the Fourth of July, and there’s plenty of fresh music to kick off the holiday festivities.
First up is Brent Faiyaz, who returned with two new singles: “Peter Pan” and “Tony Soprano.” As fans celebrated, the singer announced that a full-length album titled “Icon” will follow in September. The project will likely include both of the newly released tracks, adding to the sultry cuts from the R&B star.
Chance the Rapper also made his return with the single “Tree,” which reunites the Chicago lyricist with Lil Wayne and features Smino. The laid-back track delivers a perfect summer vibe, ideal for weekend cookouts and fireworks outings.
Sean Paul surprised fans with a new track called “Ginger.” The Caribbean-inspired tune is reminiscent of Paul’s early 2000s hits. While it’s unclear if a full project is on the way, hearing from this hitmaker during the summer feels right for his loyal fan base.
