After a nightmarish and horrific Monday for the NFL, the NFL players association will vote on a new drug policy. All 32 team representatives will vote, on the new policy. The new policy with include Human Growth Hormone and Marijuana and neutral arbitration will be also be expanded. There has been a delay in voting due to the Ray Rice story. There are numerous players who will immediately benefit from the changes and could possibly be reinstated ASAP. The most notable offenders are Josh Gordon of the Cleveland Browns and Wes Welker of the Denver Broncos. There are some sticking points between the players union and the league, but it seems like things will all work out. The policy is intended to reflect the shift in cultural attitudes regarding some drugs, in particular Marijuana. Now marijuana is legal in some states, this might give the NFLPA some weight in their argument. No pun intended.
