If you thought the New Orleans Saints were going to keep images up of a convicted rapist, you thought wrong. As part of a makeover of the Champions Square area outside of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, an image which includes Darren Sharper will be removed. Out of sight, out of mind.

Sharper is now in prison after confessing to multiple cases of raping and drugging women across several states.
The image that will be removed shows Sharper with his finger raised to the sky as he runs behind cornerback Tracy Porter during the game-clinching touchdown return in Super Bowl XLIV.
“It’s common sense,” Saints executive Ben Hales told the Advocate. “We don’t even want the perception that that’s an individual we’re celebrating.”
