Set to hit stands next month, ‘The March’ edition of Time Magazine features the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a virtual reality photograph.
The process of making the cover started with an actor photographed as Dr. King. The image was then edited by a group of visual effects specialists, to create the breathtaking portrayal of Dr. King.
The astounding March edition of Time Magazine, featuring the well-known civil rights activist, is a part of an experimental exhibit of the same name.
The purpose of ‘The March’ is to give people the opportunity to experience the 1963 March on Washington, feeling like they were personally there themselves.
What makes the upcoming exhibit even more extraordinary, is that actress Viola Davis and her husband Julius Tennon are co-executive producers of the project.
According to CBS News, Davis and Tennon were proud of the outcome of the cover calling it ‘the most realistic digital rendering of a human ever created.’
‘The March’ exhibit will be open for the public beginning Feb. 28 and is located in the DuSable Museum of African-American History in Chicago.
