A New York couple has been charged after using fake vaccination cards to get into the Buffalo Bills playoff game against the New England Patriots.
With COVID-19 cases steady on the rise, some states aren’t playing around. Michael Nabb, 34, and Amber Nabb, 37, caught the wind of that when they were hit with felony charges after entering the Highmark Stadium game on Jan. 15 with fake COVID-19 vaccination cards.
Just when they thought they’d got away with it, that third quarter of the game got really intense when they were approached and questioned by law enforcement officials, the New York Post reports. Officials found out that the couple’s cards were fraudulent, and they were charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, Tried County District Attorney John Flynn said on Wednesday.
Officials say they had their eye on the couple even before the game started. The couple is set to appear in court to be arraigned on Feb. 22.
