Broncos Von Miller will be suspended without PAY for six games and this will cost him $806,162. Miller was placed in the NFL drug program because he tested positive for marijuana his rookie year in 2011. Miller spilled a urine sample before practice and then provided a diluted sample after practice this offseason. The ban starts after August 31st and he will not be able to practice or attend games.
Miller is also a potential witness in a quintuple murder. In October of last year, Dexter Lewis is accused of stabbing five people after a robbery at Fero’s Bar and Grill. Lewis is accused of stabbing the people and then setting fire to the building. The prosecution is seeking the death penalty in this case. Two co-defendants have already pleaded guilty and are waiting on their sentences. Von Miller has no direct connection to the defendant Dexter Lewis and the prosecution put him on the list as a ‘lay witness’.
Let us pray that Miller will work through all of his personal issues and come back tougher on the field.
