Two Pittsburgh Steelers players were fined $5,000 for violating the league’s dress code policy regarding socks.
According to Sports Illustrated, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and running back James Connor both got dinged $5,000 for wearing their socks too low.
The NFL dress code policy requires players to wear their socks up to their pants. Both players failed to do so on Sunday’s game versus the Tennessee Titans.
Smith-Schuster posted a copy of the letter he received from the league to his Instagram Story. Conner received a letter of his own.
“Specifically, your stockings failed to cover your lower leg,” the letter reads.
Both players can appeal the fine.
The Steelers are having a great season this year. They are the only team still undefeated through week seven.
Smith-Schuster, 23, has recorded 39 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Conner, 25, has 110 rushes for 498 yards and five touchdowns.
