NFL Names The First ‘Inspire Change’ Advocates Signing Meek Mill, Rapsody, And Meghan Trainor For The Inaugural Event

Meek Mill, Rapsody, and Meghan Trainor have signed on to support the NFL’s first ‘Inspire Change’ event series, beginning as a free concert at Chicago’s Grant Park on September 5.

As part of the controversial deal between Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and the NFL, they are launching ‘Inspire Change’ apparel and Song of the Season campaign. A press release stated the apparel will be used to fund ‘Inspire Change’ efforts across the U.S., according to Complex.

The key elements of the ‘Inspire Change’ initiative are education and economic empowerment, police and community relations, and criminal justice reform.

Song of the Season campaign was created to highlight both mainstream and emerging artist across all genres, having selected songs incorporated into NFL promotions each month, and debuts during in-game broadcasts attached to multiple streaming platform releases. All proceeds will go towards ‘Inspire Change.’

According to Page Six, the free show will be part of the “NFL Kickoff Experience,” and a portion of Meek and Trainor’s performances will be featured in a 40-minute pregame show from Chicago on NBC and the NFL Network.

Two Chicago-based organizations, BBF Family Services and Crushers Club, will be hosted by Meek, Rapsody, and Trainor at the event. The day before the show, Rapsody is hosting an Inspire Change Speed Mentoring Session at BBF Family Services, giving young men and women a chance to receive mentorship from community leaders, Roc Nation, the NFL, and more.
