In recent weeks, many celebrities and athletes have been criticized for their irresponsibility behind the wheel. Instead of using an easily accessible car service after a night out, many chose to get behind the wheel drunk, putting themselves and others at risk. However, all Ballers don’t make bad decisions. Some will opt for a safe ride, even when it isn’t necessary Â
On Monday, Buffalo Bills cornerback Shareece Wright blew over $900 on an Uber from Chicago to Buffalo, NY, just to make sure he was able to attend a voluntary practice.
While it is still unclear why Wright went for the extreme to make it to Orchard Park from Chicago, it’s obvious the Uber driver had no issue with the 500-mile trip after Wright broke him off with a few hundred dollars.
It all started on Monday morning in Chicago when Wright was stuck at the O’Hare Airport with no way to catch a flight out. In an effort to get to the voluntary practice in a timely fashion, Wright jumped in an Uber for an eight hour, $600 trip to the Bills facility. But that wasn’t all! Wright also asked the Uber driver to drive him back to Chicago when it was all over. Luckily, he broke the driver off with a $300 tip for his troubles.
