Alicia Keys’ Vocals Seemingly Corrected in Super Bowl Halftime Show Uploaded to YouTube

Shortly after the Super Bowl, many suggest that Alicia Keys’ vocals appeared refined in the video released by the NFL and Apple Music on YouTube.

In the live performance of the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show, Keys’ voice seemed to crack on the first note of her song “If I Ain’t Got You,” but she sang the rest without flaw. However, in the updated YouTube version, the first note is smooth without any cracks, leading fans to speculate that it was edited out.

Following the blunder, Alicia, who was simultaneously playing the piano, flawlessly completed the remainder of the song. Additionally, she also graced the stage with her duet featuring Usher, titled “My Boo.
Fans were taken aback the following day after noticing that the apparent vocal crack in Keys’ performance had been rectified in the NFL’s uploaded YouTube version of Usher’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.
“Fascinatingly, the official NFL YouTube channel appears to be attempting to erase that little moment, having edited it out in their upload (second video),” one X user wrote alongside two clips of the cracked and uncracked vocals.

Usher’s remarkable halftime show showcased a medley of his greatest hits and several unexpected guest appearances, including Alicia. H.E.R., along with Lil Jon and Ludacris, was also featured as a guest. The uploaded version of Usher’s halftime performance on YouTube has garnered over seven million views thus far and is currently ranked as the fifth most trending video.
