The NFL told teams that any games in the upcoming season postponed due to coronavirus outbreaks amongst unvaccinated players or staff wouldn’t get rescheduled. Those teams responsible for the delays will automatically forfeit.
According to the NFL Network, the league communicated the new policy in a lengthy memo to all 32 teams, which will likely pressure teams to push players to get vaccinated.
The league said teams would forfeit games canceled by COVID-19 outbreaks amid unvaccinated players, and players on both teams will not be paid.
While the league hasn’t come out directly and mandated vaccines for players, they did effectively mandate support staff to get vaccinated back in April by placing significant restrictions on unvaccinated coaches and their staff.
“These operating principles are designed to allow us to play a full season safely and responsibly and address possible competitive or financial issues fairly,” the memo’s introduction stated.

Okayyyyy but you can still get COVID while being fully vaccinated. What happens then?
You can’t be that maladroit that you don’t understand the difference between the two scenarios?!?!
In scenario 1: you have a simpleton that has chosen to put not only himself but his entire team at risk because they are too stupid, selfish & self-centered to understand and adhere to modern science & medicine.
While in scenario 2: you have a vaccinated player who has taken the necessary steps to protect himself, his teammates & fellow players and simply got the short end of stick and got sick.
It’s about taking responsibility and doing everything possible to protect yourself & others around you versus being an ignorant, uneducated, selfish numpty who only cares about themselves.
