NFL teams experience this every year around the time that training camps start. Rookies are able to “Holdout” of their contract if they are unsure of the language in it or if they are wanting to opt out for more money. The New York Jets 9th overall draft pick Dee Milliner is holding out from the Jets training camp until he is ready to sign his contract. Jets coach Rex Ryan stated that he is just going to focus on the guys that are at the camp right now.
Cornerback Dee Milliner fired his previous agents when they promised him to be a top five draft pick and he fell down to the ninth pick. One can only imagine what “language” is keeping Milliner from preparing for the season, but I am sure we will find out soon.
