Washington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic has honored Californians Tupac and Nipsey Hussle with a cool design to his latest pair of cleats.
According to TMZ, McKissic, 27, wanted to show love to the late rap legends and did so by asking California artist Joe Castro to make a design to add to his pair of Nikes.
Castro already had experience—he previously did McKissic’s teammate Chase Young’s shoes and created a King Von tribute on Chiefs Wide Receiver Tajae Sharpe. He added iconic details donned by the two legends for this project: Pac’s nose ring and Nipsey’s famous “Prolific” tattoo.
The creation took a total of 12 hours, TMZ reports. It’s unknown if McKissic will wear the shoes in a game but be on the lookout in case he does.
