Nia Long has secured a nice win in court with her ex, Ime Udoka.
The “Best Man” actress has been granted $32,000 a month in child support for her 12-year-old son, Kez, whom she shares with the Houston Rockets coach. She was originally seeking over $50,000 monthly. The pair split in 2022 after a massive cheating scandal while Udoka was coaching the Boston Celtics. He was allegedly cheating with someone employed with the team. The two had a very public breakup, with Long slamming the Celtics for covering for Udoka.
As part of their custody agreement, Long and Udoka will share joint custody, with Long having primary physical custody in California. The child will be allowed to visit with his father as he travels with the Rockets. Udoka must also cover all travel related to Kez visiting him on the road and must also cover expenses for the child’s nanny, who will be responsible for transporting Kez between parents. Long and Udoka will also alternate holidays and vacation schedules. Both parents should notify the other about summer vacation plans by April of each year until Kez is 18.
“If the parties are unable to agree upon Udoka’s visitation with Kez, they shall consult and work together with Kez’s treating therapist to encourage the visits with Udoka, and the therapist will inform the parties of what is best for Kez,” the agreement states.
Long and Udoka spent 13 years together. The mother of two also has a 23-year-old son, Massai, from a previous relationship.
