Nick Cannon is heading back to the radio airwaves in Los Angeles, seven months after he was last heard locally on KPWR-FM “Power 106.”
According to Variety, Cannon is officially set to return to the Meruelo Media-owned station with his show “Nick Cannon Mornings” next Thursday.
The media mogul has sealed a new multi-year deal with both Meruelo Media and Skyview Networks, the company that syndicates his “Nick Cannon Radio” across the country.
Cannon took time off from his top-rated morning radio show last summer after facing backlash from controversial anti-Semitic remarks he made on the June 30 episode of his podcast “Cannon’s Class,” which featured former Public Enemy member Professor Griff.
Otto Pardon, the president and CEO of Meruelo Media, described the return of “Nick Cannon Mornings” as “newly revamped and creatively turbo-charged” and “a uniquely Los Angeles centric morning show fitting of our iconic Power 106 flagship.” The return will reunite Cannon with his team of co-hosts; Teddy Mora, Melissa Rios, and DJ Carisma.
