Nick Cannon is setting the record straight for people who question how he is able to spend time with his many children.
The actor and talk show host spoke proudly about his parenting skills in the latest issue of Men’s Health. Despite being a father of seven with one on the way, Cannon says he is more present in his kids’ lives than the average parent.
“If I’m not physically in the same city with my kids, I’m talking to them before they go to school via FaceTime and stuff. And then when I am in the same city, I’m driving my kids to school, like, making sure I pick ’em up. All of those things,” he shared. Even with his many jobs, Cannon says he can even make it to his daughter’s guitar lessons every week.
The 41-year-old has faced scrutiny from the masses for fathering seven children with five women, soon to be six, as he is expecting a child with model Bre Tiesi. Rumors that he is expecting another baby aside from the one with Tiesi swirled on Friday when model and DJ Abby De La Rosa announced her pregnancy. While she did not reveal who the father is, she welcomed twins with Cannon last year, leaving fans to speculate that he was the lucky man.
Regardless of the never-ending stream of infants, Cannon says he does not worry about whether or not he will have more kids, even though people often question him about it.
“Those are questions that I don’t. I don’t really even sit around and think about. I’m just walking in my purpose and trying to be the best father and best provider I could possibly be,” the “Drumline” star explained during his cover issue interview.
