Nick Gordon dodged a major bullet in his latest domestic violence case.
In June, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s ex was arrested for domestic violence after his girlfriend told Florida officials that he punched her for hours during an argument after a night out. The arrest then prompted Georgia officials to dig deeper into Gordon’s past in connection with Brown’s death.
However, just two months later, Gordon was let off the hook in the Florida case.
According to TMZ, Gordon has been cleared of all charges in the incident that allegedly left his girlfriend, Laura Leal, with a slew of marks and bruises. Prosecutors say the girlfriend has refused to cooperate with officials and has made it clear that she does not want to pursue charges.
Although, she had initially been helpful in the investigation, she later “became unhappy with the criminal justice process” and began backtracking. Just months after referring to Gordon as “psychotic” and saying she thought she could have ended up like Bobbi Kristina; Gordon’s girlfriend contacted the judge in charge of the case to reveal that she didn’t want to continue prosecution.
