Nicki Minaj has revealed that her next album will arrive in the upcoming months.
Barbz everywhere had reason to rejoice this week. On Friday, Nicki Minaj released her highly anticipated single, “Do We Have A Problem?” featuring Lil Baby. And after four long years, the Queen of Rap has revealed that her new album will arrive “before summertime” during her appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
The music icon has been making her rounds on media outlets everywhere as she prepares for her project. During another interview with “The Dana Cortez Show,” she gave more details surrounding her album and what fans can expect and ensured that “Mixtape Nicki” will make her return.
“Oh, you gotta get Mixtape Nicki!” she explained. “I just feel like that’s what’s needed right now,” the 39-year-old shared.
Nicki has not released a new album since “Queen” in 2018, which went platinum. Last year, she re-released her critically acclaimed mixtape, “Beam Me Up Scotty,” with three new songs. The re-mastered 2009 tape debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and made history as the highest-charting re-released mixtape from a rapper and the highest-debuting female rap mixtape in Billboard 200 history.
