Nicki Minaj calls out the Grammys again over her hit song “Super Freaky Girl” being placed in pop categories instead of rap: “It was done to remove me from the category that they don’t want COMPETITION in!!!!!!!”
Minaj claims there’s some insidious work being done bending the scenes of the Grammys as she’s continuing to speak out against its decision-makers. “The Grammys is having blogs post that Variety article to distract from the fact that SUPER FREAK GIRL was unfairly moved from the rap category while other poppy rap songs remain in the RAP CATEGORY,” said Minaj in her Instagram stories.
In a second post, she claimed the officials behind the Grammys removed her from the rap category in order to “decrease” her chances of “winning awards for super freaky girl.”
“They are all scared to death of the success of that song & thought it would be EASY for them (like it’s been for the last few years) ! But SFG is such a global smash, certain members are AFRAID to keep it in the competition,” she went on.
She then alluded to taking some type of legal action but didn’t specifically share what it was connected to.
“And don’t worry those add’l lawsuits are going out this week,” said Minaj with emotion emojis.
