Baller Alert Entertainment & Lifestyle After letting the statement simmer for a few days, Nicki Minaj has finally decided to speak out against the rumors she was throwing shade to Iggy Azalea during her acceptance speech at the 2014 BET Awards.
During the 2014 BET Awards, Nicki Minaj was awarded Best Female Hip Hop Artist now many expected Nicki to win the award (including Floyd Mayweather). It was Nicki’s acceptance speech that caught everyone by surprise. Nicki stated:
“What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it”
Well now that the tea has spilled all over. Nicki decided go to Twitter to respond to rumors stemming from her speech and set the record straight:
Iggy also decided to respond to the rumors via her Instagram page. She posted a message with the caption, “This is my mind state about everything & the only time I’m ever going to refer to this again so go nuts guys, Enjoy it. Ps, if uou quint exxxtra hard you can see tiny elves having illuminati meetings between the lines in my notes app too.”
Now in a industry that is male driven there’s no reason for these two to go after eachother. Sure Nicki could’ve cleared it up sooner but all is well now. Your thoughts?
