Nicki Minaj says she wasn’t taking shots at Wendy Williams.
Nicki Minaj gifted us with some bars on the remix of DojaCat’s hit single “Say So,” and now, some fans believe a few bars were a dig at daytime talk show host Wendy Williams. “Why you talkin’ ’bout who body fake?/With all them fillers in your face, you just full of hate/That real ass ain’t keep your n***a home/Now you lookin’ silly, that’s word to silicone,” Nicki raps at the end of the song. After the release, many started to speculate that Nicki was referring to her arch-nemesis, Williams.
“Nicki Minaj did not have to do Wendy Williams like that in the say so remix,” one Twitter user wrote. “The way Nicki dragged Miss Wendy P Williams so effortlessly #SaySoRMX,” said another user.
The two New Yorkers have had ongoing beef for some time. The latest issue stems from Williams criticizing Nicki for marrying registered sex offender #KennethPetty. Petty was previously convicted of attempted rape. “Now you’ve ruined everything about what your brand could be again,” Williams said during an episode of her show. “You’re never going to stand a chance when you’re with a man who pulls a knife at rape point.”
Despite the seemingly corroborative facts, Nicki said the line wasn’t about Williams at all. “The line ain’t about Wendy tho,” said the Queens rapper.
