Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are facing more legal issues.
According to court documents, security guard Thomas Weidenmuller has requested a default judgment in his favor due to the Pettys not responding to the lawsuit.
Weidenmuller initially filed a lawsuit against the couple in 2022. He claimed that he was assaulted during a Nicki Wrld Tour performance in Frankfurt, Germany in 2019.
Weidenmuller claims that the alleged altercation took place when an audience member broke through the security barricade and went onstage during a performance by the rapper.
Although the fan was quickly removed from the stage by Minaj’s security within 15 seconds, the couple reportedly approached Weidenmuller and his team regarding the matter after the concert.
Minaj proceeded to verbally attack a female security guard from Weidenmuller’s team, and aired her grievances about the incident on social media. Weidenmuller intervened by escorting the guard away from the scene. He asserts that he subsequently went to Minaj’s dressing room to discuss the matter, and that Petty allegedly punched him in the face while Minaj continued to use foul language.
As of now, Weidenmuller is seeking $753,000 in damages from the couple and has already obtained a default judgment against the Minaj. However, he has yet to secure a default judgment against Kenneth.
