It looks like Nicki Minaj has kicked her entire styling team to the curb.
The rumors start circling when fans noticed Nicki and her hair stylist, Kim Kimble, unfollowed each other on social media.
The sudden firing may be due to the last few hairstyles Nicki rocked during outings and performances – at least that’s what the Barbs are alluding to. One fan expressed their happiness for Kim getting the boot in on an Instagram post that said, “Kim Kimble unfollowed Nicki Minaj on Instagram…NO MORE MULLETS AND 5 INCH PARTS.” Fans also critiqued Nicki’s VMA look saying her pony tails were too thin.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not only did fans chimed in with a piece of their mind, so did fellow stylist Tokyo Stylez who called out Nicki’s “thin azz ponytails” when someone mentioned one of his stylist’s hair in Kimble’s Instagram comments. Kimble replied saying, “Instagram doesn’t create licensed or professional hairdressers. We all get negative comments sometimes, but why try to drag someone else into it when we can support each other? Sending positive vibes and support to licensed hairstylists.”
Some speculate that in addition to the recent bad hair jobs, Nicki also let Kimble go because her fight with Tokyo. It didn’t take long for Nicki to find her replacements. She has now welcomed Tae as her new hair stylist and Aaliyah Jay as her makeup artist.
