Nicki Minaj has officially parted ways with her longtime management team.
According to Variety, the Queens-bred rapper has severed ties with Gee Roberson, Cortez Bryant, and Blueprint/Maverick Management after working majority of her career together. However, sources say there was no specific reason for the separation, highlighting the fact that the decision was both “mutual and amicable.”
The decision to part ways came ahead of Minaj’s surprise appearance at Ariana Grande’s Coachella set, and at this time, it remains unclear if Minaj will join Grande for Coachella’s second weekend. However, the news also comes after a year of controversy surrounding her “Queen” album, which was capped off by a number of rescheduled tour dates due to production issues overseas.
According to Variety, Minaj has not landed a new manager.
