Despite constant bullying accusations, Nicki Minaj is now dismissing the claims with a sense of humor.
After dropping Pink Friday 2, the rapper sat down with Apple Music 1’s Ebro Darden. Covering various subjects, they discussed the distinction between her rap persona and her everyday self. She playfully mentioned embodying elements of both, jokingly referring to “making fun of these h*es.”
“You’re just getting Nicki when you hear the music,” she said. “The other stuff is work and some of it is play. I mean, let’s face it. This is my f*cking job. I have to have some sort of fun. If it means making fun of these h*es – why the f*ck not?”
She continued, “The thing is though, I’ve realized it’s like a movie. They’ve made me the bad guy so I’ve welcomed the challenge. You know why? It’s because I know I can accept that challenge. None of them can. None.”
Speaking of Pink Friday 2, Minaj hinted at entering the studio to create a remix of the notable track “FTCU” from the album. In a post that has since been deleted from her Twitter profile on, Minaj suggested the possibility of collaborating with a male rapper and urged her Barbz to help decide who that might be.
“If there were a male rapper featured on the 3rd verse of “FTCU,” who would be your guess? #PinkFriday2,” she wrote.
