Nicki Minaj faces another swatting incident!
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies rushed to Nicki’s San Fernando Valley residence following a 911 call alleging that there had been a shooting at her house. Upon their arrival, the authorities spoke to Nicki, who wasn’t too happy with seeing the Sheriff’s deputies at her home once again.
For those unfamiliar with the term, “swatting” is when someone makes a false call to the police that causes a disturbance at a celebrity’s home. Regrettably, this is not the first time Nicki has been subjected to these deceptive calls. Last month, law enforcement responded to her residence following a bogus 911 call falsely alleging child abuse. An individual made a deceptive report to child welfare officials. The unknown person alleged abuse concerning Nicki’s three-year-old son.
Subsequently, officers visited the home and met with Nicki and her husband, Kenneth Petty. An assessment of the child’s well-being confirmed that he was safe and in good health. However, the harassment did not end there. The following morning, at approximately 3 a.m., the family was awaken due to another fraudulent 911 call claiming a fire at their residence. When firefighters arrived, they found no evidence of any flames or fire hazard.
Furthermore, this online phenomenon has targeted numerous celebrities, streamers, and even non-famous individuals for several years. Despite law enforcement’s diligent efforts to minimize the impact of these calls, it remains a challenging obstacle to overcome. Several well-known personalities have been victims of swatting calls, including Kris Jenner, Paris Hilton and Rihanna.
