A six-part Nicki Minaj documentary series is on the way.
On Thursday, Nicki revealed a snippet of what can be expected from the upcoming doc. While a release date was not revealed, the rapper said the series is “coming out sooner than you think.”
“I took some time to perfect this very intimate, delicate, electrifying, inspiring body of work,” Nicki wrote on Instagram. “As I decide on a home for this project, I can’t help but reflect on what I’m including in this doc. Some things are so personal, it’s scary. It’s like NOTHING you’ve seen before & I need it to be handled with care. Love you so much. Thank you for the continued support.”
Nicki hasn’t graced her fans with another album since 2018 when she released “Queen.” In the trailer, Nicki seemingly reaches a breakthrough when she decided to take a break from the business. During that time, Nicki realized she needed to “start loving myself.”
However, shortly after releasing the song “Do We Have a Problem?” in February, Nicki mentioned to Zane Lowe that a new album was “coming very soon, obviously,” adding, “That’s why I started putting out music.”
Five months later, Nicki fans are still awaiting for that album. But as she previously mentioned, it may be coming sooner than we think. A new episode of Nicki’s “Queen Radio” is scheduled to air on August 11th with the official release of the highly-anticipated track “Freaky Girl” releasing the next day.
