Nicki Minaj had something to say this week. After news broke that a federal judge denied Megan and Roc Nation’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit from her former cameraman, Nicki hopped on Instagram with a message full of Bible references, divine retribution, and just enough shade to spark conversation.
The post, which came directly from Nicki’s IG account, read: “What was the name of that law again????????? Karma’s Law? Touch not my anointed law? Vengeance is the Lord’s law? We give God the glory & he’s only just begun. Have a blessed day if you can. lol the blogs posting lies, thank you. More money for me. We’re working. Trust.”
Nicki’s post comes just days after reports confirmed that a lawsuit filed by a former cameraman against Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation would proceed. The man alleges he was forced to witness a sexual act involving Megan and another woman while inside a moving SUV in Ibiza during her 2022 tour. He claims the incident created a hostile work environment based on his sexual orientation and that his pay and benefits were later cut in retaliation. The judge ruled that the allegations were plausible enough to move forward in court.
While Megan hasn’t publicly responded to the latest legal development, Nicki’s message stirred social media, especially given the two artists’ tense history. Last year, Megan released “Hiss,” which many believed included subliminal shots at Nicki. The Queens rapper fired back with “Big Foot,” setting the tone for a now ongoing cold war between the two.
As the lawsuit heads to court and headlines continue to swirl, fans are wondering if this tension is heading back to the booth, the ‘Gram, or the courtroom next.
