Nicki Minaj Will Not Testify in Brother’s Case Despite His Lawyer’s Original Claim

Last week, the child rape trial of Nicki Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, commenced with opening arguments. During that time, Maraj’s lawyer told reporters that Minaj would be testifying in his defense. Now, according to TMZ, that will not be happening, in fact, the rapper never planned to take the stand in the first place.

According to TMZ, Minaj will not be involved in Maraj’s child rape case, where he is on trial for raping his then-11-year-old stepdaughter. Apparently, Maraj’s legal team’s statement that Minaj was the star witness in the trial was completely false.

The rapper’s team told TMZ that despite reports that the rapper would testify about the alleged extortion plot, she will not.
