Nicki Minaj’s father has been killed in a hit and run accident on Long Island in New York.
According to TMZ, Nassau County police said Robert Maraj was walking on the road Friday around 6 p.m. when he was hit by a car. According to police, the vehicle fled the scene.
The rapper’s father was taken to an area hospital and initially listed in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
The Homicide Squad is investigating the accident, but there wasn’t a clear description of the vehicle involved. They are asking that anyone with information about the crash contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers.
Nicki has not publicly commented amount her father’s death. A rep for the rapper confirmed Robert’s passing but had no further comment.
He was 64.
