Nicki Minaj’s husband is asking a judge for permission to be present for their child’s birth.
Kenneth Petty’s pending criminal case may prevent him from witnessing the birth of his child, so he’s asking a judge to modify the conditions of his pretrial release. Petty recently registered as a sex offender in California after failing to register when he moved there. His status as a sex offender comes from a 1995 conviction in New York for first-degree attempted rape.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Petty is currently banned from traveling outside of California. He also has a curfew.
But he’s now begging a judge to allow him to travel with Nicki for business as her manager and be there for their baby’s birth.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office and pretrial services have not said no to his request, so now it’s up to the judge to decide. A judge has already approved his previous request to use the internet.
It’s believed Nicki is about six months along after surprising the world with her pregnancy news earlier this month.

Concerns like these popped up constantly ever since Nicki decided to marry and start a family with this man, but seeing it happen for real is so wild. This is something neither refused to consider and now it’s the unborn child that’ll be most afflicted by this.
